Significant public and private investment is positioning eastern New Orleans as an important corridor for sustainable development and growth. Leading these investments is $2.5 Billion in flood protection managed by the Army Corps. of Engineers, followed by $348 million planned/invested in state-of-the-art schools.  A $55 Million restoration of the municipal Lakefront Airport, pristine Interstate (I-10), Public Belt Railroad and navigational waterways present unmatched commercial or leisure transportation options.
