The NOPD 7th
District is now
located in a new
$6.2 million,
20,000 sqft
facility on
Dwyer Road. The
new
state-of-the-art
building
replaces and
doubles the
capacity of the
former station,
which was
destroyed by
Katrina's flood
waters. Elevated and
designed to
withstand 200
mph winds, safety for both
the officers and
the community
has been
significantly
enhanced.
